Experience Thanh Toan Like a Local

If you’re an adventurous traveler with a passion for cycling, cooking, and immersing yourself in the rural life of Vietnam, then Thanh Toan village is a destination you shouldn’t miss. We’re excited to join you on this journey as you explore the tranquil village of Thanh Toan through activities like biking, farming, fishing, and a cooking class. This trip will offer you a unique chance to gain deeper insights into the local lifestyle, culture, and people of Vietnam, with a special focus on Hue.

Itinerary

Thanh Toan Eco Daily Tour

8:15 AM: The staff of “Thanh Toan Eco Tour” will pick you up from your hotel in Hue Center City and take you to the meeting point. After checking your bike and warming up, you’ll be ready to start the trip with us.

8:30 AM: Begin cycling to Thanh Toan Village, home of the famous “Thanh Toan Tiled Roof Bridge.” Along the way, you’ll be delighted by scenes of a bustling morning market, lush green rice fields, majestic family temples, and the daily life of locals as you navigate the village’s winding paths.

10:00 AM: Arrive at the Thanh Toan Tiled Roof Bridge—a truly unique ancient bridge in Vietnam—and visit the Thanh Toan Museum, where a wide variety of agricultural tools are displayed, providing insight into Vietnamese life and culture.

10:15 AM: Enjoy a boat ride on the Nhu Y River with a local villager, taking in the stunning scenery and learning about traditional fishing methods using old tools like traps and casting nets. You’ll even have the chance to try your hand at catching fish yourself.

Return to our “Eco Home,” where you can learn how local farmers cultivate vegetables such as morning glory, Malabar spinach, gourd, and fiber melon. Experience some farming activities with them, weather permitting.

12:00 PM: Participate in a cooking class where you’ll learn the traditional methods of preparing and cooking three Hue specialties. After the lesson, savor the dishes you’ve just created, along with some additional dishes.

2:00 PM: Ride back to the city, concluding your Eco trip to Thanh Toan village. We hope to see you again!
