Morning Jumping Crocodile Cruise

Starting the morning in Darwin, we’ll journey to the Adelaide River for the famous Spectacular Jumping Crocodile Cruise. Board a specially designed boat and set off to explore the river’s murky waters, on the lookout for the notorious saltwater crocodiles.

As we cruise, an expert wildlife guide will share fascinating details about the “salties,” including their biology, diet, hunting behaviors, and evolutionary history dating back to the time of dinosaurs. Although crocodiles often hide in the water or along shaded banks, our guides are familiar with the local croc population and know where to find them.

Watch as we tempt these massive reptiles out of the water with buffalo meat, showcasing their natural hunting skills by leaping from the river, just as they would to catch birds or flying foxes. Don’t worry—this feeding method is safe for both the crocodiles and our amazed passengers.

While on the river, keep an eye out for other wildlife inhabiting the area. The Marrakai wetlands are home to numerous bird and reptile species.

After the crocs have been fed and you’ve gained a wealth of knowledge about these remarkable creatures, we’ll return to shore and head back to Darwin.
