1. An Bang Cemetery – A Unique Tour Highlight on the Journey from Hue to Hoi An
As you travel from Hue to Hoi An, don’t miss the chance to visit the unique An Bang Cemetery. In Hue, the tradition of building tombs has long been valued as a means to preserve both the body and soul for eternity. To experience one of the most impressive burial sites in Hue, you should take a trip to An Bang village, located about 35 km from the city center.

An Bang Cemetery covers an impressive 40,000 square meters and stretches all the way to the sea. Within this expansive area, you’ll find over 1,000 tombs, ranging from 40 to 400 square meters in size, with ornate gates that soar 7 to 8 meters high. The cost to build these elaborate tombs ranges from several hundred million to nearly ten billion Vietnamese Dong each.

What makes An Bang Cemetery truly unique is not just its vast scale, but also the rich diversity of architectural styles present. The tombs here reflect a blend of religious and philosophical influences, including Buddhism, Christianity, and Confucianism, each designed according to the wishes of the deceased. Historically, only royalty were permitted to adorn their tombs with the sacred motifs of the dragon, unicorn, turtle, and phoenix, but today these majestic symbols can be seen on many of the tombs throughout the cemetery.
2. Lap An Lagoon – Tranquil oyster farming village
About 50 kilometers from the center of Hue, Lap An Lagoon is one of Central Vietnam’s twelve iconic lagoons.
This serene destination offers a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, with its tranquil waters and breathtaking views. Here, you can enjoy the sight of fishing boats gliding across the lagoon, immerse yourself in the peaceful and airy environment, as well as savor delicious oysters and fresh seafood at local restaurants.
3. Lang Co Bay: A Hidden Treasure in Vietnam
Just 60 kilometers from Hue, you will find the charming and tranquil fishing village of Lang Co. In 2009, Lang Co Beach earned the distinction of being one of the 30 most beautiful bays in the world, with its gently sloping coastline, clean, white sand and perfectly moderate waves.

As part of the tour, our driver will stop at the foot of Hai Van Pass so you can take in the breathtaking scenery of Lang Co Bay.
4. Hai Van Pass: The Gateway to Ocean Mists
Hai Van Pass is renowned as one of Vietnam’s most scenic mountain roads, offering spectacular views where vibrant green forests meet the deep blue waves of the sea. At the summit, you’ll discover historic remnants such as an old fortified gateway and American – French bunkers that provide sweeping vistas of the city with an easy stroll. The small rest station at the peak welcomes visitors on the Hue to Hoi An route with local snacks and coffee.
5. Ba Na Hills/The Golden Bridge
Ba Na is a nature reserve and a premier destination in Vietnam, offering a blend of high-level tourism, relaxation, and entertainment. Ba Na Hills is situated in the Truong Son mountain range, within Hoa Ninh commune, Hoa Vang district.
Riding the cable car to the Golden Bridge, a remarkable attraction at Ba Na Hills, is a must-do due to its unique structure in the hills. Visitors can also experience multiple seasons in a single day and explore various attractions like Bana Hills Fantasy Park, French Village, Moon Castle, and more.
6. Linh Ung Pagoda
Da Nang is home to three temples named Linh Ung. However, only the Linh Ung Pagoda at Son Tra Buddha Beach features the tallest statue of Quan Am Buddha in Vietnam. This statue stands with its back to the mountain and faces the sea, with one hand forming the tamarind seal and the other holding an orange water bottle, its gentle eyes gazing poetically over Da Nang. Linh Ung Pagoda is a self-sufficient, sturdy, and massive structure, blending traditional architectural elements with modern design, characterized by its gracefully curved roof tiles. It is a solemn place where Buddhists urgently come to light incense.
7. Marble Mountain
The journey from Hue to Hoi An includes a stop at the Marble Mountains, located at the south of Da Nang Beach. This area is renowned for its rocky peaks that rise above the roofs of homes and resorts. As the road winds toward the mountains, you will encounter large stone dragons and seated Buddha statues. Visiting this site allows you to learn about Buddhism and witness the harmonious blend of natural beauty and religious architecture.
8. My Son Sanctuary
My Son is a cluster of abandoned and partially ruined Hindu temples built between the 4th and 14th centuries by the Kings of Champa. This temple complex is one of the most significant Hindu temple complexes in Southeast Asia and is the foremost heritage site of its type in Vietnam.
Often compared to other historical temple complexes in Southeast Asia, such as Java in Indonesia, Angkor Wat in Cambodia, and Bagan in Myanmar, My Son offers a captivating experience. Despite being partially ruined by time and war, the stunning scenery makes it well worth a visit.
