Itinerary
Hoi An is celebrated for its exceptionally well-preserved ancient town, which was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. Historically, Hoi An was a bustling trading hub in Southeast Asia, attracting merchants from Japan, China, Portugal, Spain, and Holland. These influences have significantly shaped Hoi An’s architecture and culture. Notable historical sites that showcase various Asian cultures include the Japanese Bridge, the Chinese Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, the Museum of Sa Huynh Culture, the Museum of Trade Ceramics, and Phung Hung House. Beyond its ancient town, Hoi An is also surrounded by natural attractions such as An Bang Beach, Cua Dai Beach, and Cham Island.
Detailed Itinerary:
Besides being renowned for its ancient town, Hoi An is also surrounded by various natural and historical sites such as An Bang Beach, Cua Dai Beach, Cham Island, and My Son Holy Land. Additionally, Hoi An offers a range of eco-tours to local villages within the town. If you’re a nature enthusiast, these tours are ideal for exploring the natural beauty of Vietnam’s countryside and experiencing the daily life of the local people.
- Tra Que Vegetable Village

Traveling by private car allows for flexibility with your departure time, though the ideal time is early in the morning to enjoy the fresh air upon arriving at your first stop – Tra Que Vegetable Village. Located about 3 km from Hoi An City, Tra Que Vegetable Village may be small, but it is well-known for producing over 20 varieties of vegetables and herbs. These organic vegetables supply Hoi An and surrounding areas. Commonly used vegetables include basil, onions, Vietnamese mint, cilantro, and lettuce, all grown without chemical fertilizers. A visit to Tra Que Village offers a serene and fresh atmosphere, and you’ll also have the opportunity to experience local farming activities such as soil raking, watering, and vegetable picking, providing an unforgettable experience.
- Cam Thanh Water Coconut Village

Another local village featured in the tour is Cam Thanh Water Coconut Village. Located about 5 km from Hoi An, Cam Thanh represents a typical rural Vietnamese village. Recently, with the rise of eco-tours in Hoi An, Cam Thanh’s picturesque water coconut palm forest has become a popular destination for tourists. Upon arrival, you can explore the forest by taking a small bamboo boat, allowing you to appreciate the village’s natural beauty and observe local activities such as rice farming and fishing. You can also participate in a cooking class with local families and enjoy a meal made from the dishes you’ve prepared. Visiting Cam Thanh Water Coconut Village promises a memorable experience during your time in Hoi An.
- Thanh Ha Pottery Village

The next stop on the tour is Thanh Ha Pottery Village, situated near the Thu Bon River and about 3 km from the ancient town. Established over 500 years ago when Hoi An was a bustling trading port, Thanh Ha Pottery Village has a long history of producing pottery. The village’s products include bowls, plates, jars, teapots, and vases in various shapes, colors, and sizes, catering to both local and domestic markets. Visitors can watch local artisans using traditional techniques to create pottery, with the mixed clay and firing process resulting in different colors. You can also try your hand at making your own pottery or pick up souvenirs from the skilled craftsmen, adding a fun element to your visit.
- My Son Sanctuary
The final destination is My Son Sanctuary, a collection of abandoned and partially ruined Hindu temples built between the 4th and 14th centuries by the Kings of Cham. This temple complex is one of the most significant Hindu sites in Southeast Asia and stands as a premier heritage site in Vietnam. It is often compared to other historic temple complexes in Southeast Asia, such as those in Java, Angkor Wat, and Bagan. Despite the damage from time and conflict, the stunning scenery makes it well worth a visit.

After exploring the famous villages around Hoi An, you’ll gain insights into the local way of life and their traditional occupations, creating unforgettable memories of Vietnam. The tour concludes in the afternoon, and our private car will return you to Hoi An City.
