Itinerary

Our day begins in Cairns, where we set off for the Atherton Tablelands, ready for a day of adventure. The schedule remains flexible to allow our guides to make the most of the day, but we guarantee spectacular scenery, plenty of waterfalls, and endless fun.

You’ll be treated to views of sugarcane fields and banana plantations framed by lush rainforest-covered mountains. If you’re here for the waterfalls (and who isn’t?), we’ll visit some of the best, starting with Josephine Falls. Famous for its crystal-clear waters and natural rock slide, it’s the perfect spot to unwind or take an exhilarating slide down the rocks.

Make sure your camera is ready for Millaa Millaa Falls, one of Australia’s most iconic and photographed waterfalls. Featured in popular ads like Herbal Essences and Qantas, this location is ideal for a swim in the cool waters and capturing that classic hair-flip photo.

Other waterfalls that may be included in the day’s itinerary are Ellinjaa Falls, Zille Falls, Dinner Falls, and Nandroya Falls. With plenty of swimming opportunities, don’t forget your swimwear.

We’ll also visit the famous Curtain Fig Tree, a massive strangler fig that’s one of Queensland’s largest trees. You’ll have several chances to take in breathtaking views from various lookouts throughout the Tablelands.

For wildlife enthusiasts, keep your eyes peeled as we try our luck spotting some of Australia’s elusive creatures. With any luck, we may catch a glimpse of a platypus, cassowary, or tree kangaroo (or even all three!).

No tour of the Atherton Tablelands would be complete without a stop at Lake Eacham, where you can soak in the rainforest’s lush surroundings and enjoy another refreshing swim before we return to the lively city of Cairns.
