Itinerary
1-Day Phillip Island Tour Itinerary
The day begins in Melbourne, heading along the coast to our first stop at the Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park. Your guide will lead you through this award-winning park, home to iconic Australian animals such as kangaroos, wombats, and Tasmanian devils, as well as lesser-known species like the spot-tailed quoll, yellow-bellied glider, and long-nosed potoroo. A ranger will give an informative talk about koalas, one of Australia’s most beloved marsupials. You’ll also have the chance to hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies or snap a photo with a koala (at your own expense).
Next, we continue to Phillip Island, stopping at Cape Woolamai Beach. Here, you can watch surfers in action or take a relaxing stroll along the beach.
Our journey then leads us to The Nobbies, where you can explore the coastal boardwalks, marvel at the rugged cliffs, and see if you can spot fur seals basking on Seal Rocks. In winter, you might catch sight of whales off the coast, and in summer, you might spot penguin chicks waiting for their parents to return from the sea.
As evening approaches, we’ll head to Summerland Beach for the tour’s highlight—the Penguin Parade. As the sun sets, these adorable little penguins emerge from the ocean in small groups, waddling across the beach to their nests. Stroll along the boardwalks to walk alongside them on their journey home.
Finally, we’ll regroup and make our way back to Melbourne.
Note: A visit to Woolamai Beach is time permitting.
