1-Day Litchfield Tour Itinerary

The adventure begins with a drive from Darwin to the Adelaide River, where you can choose to embark on an optional Jumping Crocodile Cruise. Get up close with these ancient reptiles as they launch out of the water for a bite of buffalo meat, while learning about their habits from knowledgeable guides. Alternatively, visit the Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve, a haven for diverse wetland species, where you can observe wildlife in their natural surroundings.

As we enter Litchfield National Park, you’ll be captivated by the dramatic landscapes and diverse wildlife. We’ll pause for a photo opportunity at the impressive magnetic termite mounds, unique natural structures that have stood for centuries.

Explore the park’s rugged terrain and majestic waterfalls, with stops for a swim at Buley Rockhole or Wangi Falls, surrounded by lush greenery. Enjoy some time relaxing under the shade, splashing in the water, or standing under a cascading waterfall for a rejuvenating natural massage.

The journey continues with scenic views of Litchfield’s dramatic cliff faces and valleys at Tolmer Falls or Florence Falls, both surrounded by lush monsoon forest, providing a stunning backdrop year-round.

As the day concludes, we’ll head back to Darwin, arriving before nightfall.
