Itinerary
1-Day Canberra Tour from Sydney
Begin the day with a scenic, air-conditioned drive from Sydney to Canberra, passing through rolling countryside and charming small towns. A brief stop in one of these towns will give you a chance to stretch your legs or grab a snack.
Upon arriving in Canberra, our first destination is the iconic Parliament House on Capitol Hill. Enjoy a guided tour of this remarkable building, taking in its striking architecture and well-manicured grounds.
Following the Parliament visit, you’ll have time to enjoy a packed lunch or grab a bite at a local café. We then proceed to the National Museum of Australia, set on a stunning peninsula. You’ll have two hours of free time to explore the museum’s exhibits, which cover the fascinating stories of Australia’s people, history, and culture.
Next, we regroup and head to the Australian War Memorial to pay tribute to the nation’s military history. On the return journey, we’ll drive through the suburb of Yarralumla, famous for its embassies, each showcasing distinct architectural styles representing various nations.
