1. Marble Mountain
On this private car tour from Hoi An to Hue, our first stop is Marble Mountain, known as Ngu Hanh Son in Vietnamese. Located 8 kilometers southeast of Da Nang, this landmark consists of five marble and limestone peaks that represent the five elements of the universe: metal, wood, water, fire, and earth.

The mountains feature an intricate network of caves and tunnels, which only add to their allure for visitors. Thuy Son, the tallest of the five mountains, serves as the main attraction and features several caves and Buddhist temples. Visitors can reach the summit by climbing 150 stone steps, where they are rewarded with a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and rivers. At the base of Marble Mountain lies Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village, a historic village known for its nearly 200-year-old tradition of crafting exquisite stone carvings. Here, you can find beautiful jewelry made from precious stones, jade, and impressive stone statues, all skillfully crafted by local artisans in just a few hours.
2. My Son Sanctuary
My Son is a collection of abandoned and partially ruined Hindu temples built by the Cham Kings between the 4th and 14th centuries. As one of the most significant Hindu temple complexes in Southeast Asia, My Son stands out as Vietnam’s premier heritage site of this kind. It is often compared to other historic temple complexes in the region, such as Java in Indonesia, Angkor Wat in Cambodia, and Bagan in Myanmar. Despite being partially damaged by time and conflict, the stunning scenery and historical significance make it a must-visit destination.

3. Linh Ung Pagoda
Among the three Linh Ung temples in Da Nang, the Linh Ung Pagoda at Son Tra Peninsula is the only one with the highest statue of Quan Am Buddha in Vietnam. Positioned with its back against the mountain and facing the sea, the statue holds a tamarind seal in one hand and an orange water bottle in the other, with calm eyes surveying the beautiful scenery of Da Nang. The pagoda’s design combines traditional architectural elements with modern features, including a robust, enduring structure and gracefully curved roof tiles. It is a revered site where Buddhists gather to light incense and offer their devotions.

4. Ba Na Hills/The Golden Bridge
Ba Na is a nature reserve and the premier high-altitude destination in Vietnam for tourism, relaxation, and entertainment. Located in the Truong Son mountain range in Hoa Ninh Commune, Hoa Vang District, Ba Na Hills offers visitors a diverse range of experiences. One of the top attractions is the Golden Bridge, a stunning architectural feat on the hill. You can also experience the unique phenomenon of seeing all four seasons in one day and explore attractions like the Ba Na Hills Fantasy Park, French Village, and Moon Castle.

5. Hai Van Pass: The Gateway to Ocean Mists
When traveling from Hoi An or Da Nang to Hue, many drivers choose to take the tunnel for safety reasons. However, with our private car service, we recommend taking the scenic route over the Hai Van Pass to enjoy the breathtaking views from the top. Spanning 21 kilometers, Hai Van Pass forms a natural boundary between Thua Thien Hue Province and Da Nang City. The name “Hai Van” means “Sea Clouds,” as the mountain peak is often shrouded in clouds throughout the year, while the base is close to the sea. Known as the most beautiful and challenging pass in Vietnam, it offers a stunning and memorable journey.

6. Lang Co Bay: A Hidden Treasure in Vietnam
Located at the foot of the Hai Van Pass, Lang Co Beach is known as the most beautiful beach in Thua Thien Hue Province. This beach is famous for its breathtaking natural beauty and unspoiled waters, with an average summer temperature of about 25°C.

Lang Co Beach boasts all that nature can provide: lush tropical forests, fine white sand and clear blue water. It is one of Vietnam’s three most stunning bays (alongside Nha Trang and HaLong Bay) that are recognized among the 30 most beautiful bays in the world. At Lang Co Beach, you can enjoy the fresh air, peaceful atmosphere, and beautiful landscapes, as well as indulge in fresh seafood at local restaurants.
7. Lap An Lagoon – Tranquil oyster farming village
Next, we will visit Lap An Lagoon, situated in Phu Loc District and framed by the beautiful Bach Ma Mountain Range. This serene lagoon presents a breathtaking landscape of mountains, sea, clouds, and sky, and is becoming a popular spot for tourists from Vietnam and beyond. In addition to its stunning natural beauty, Lap An Lagoon is home to diverse wildlife and aquatic plants, with the local oysters being especially famous. Known for their high nutritional value, these oysters are celebrated as the “jewel of heaven” by the locals.

8. An Bang Cemetery
For generations, Hue’s tradition has honored the creation of tombs as a way to preserve both body and soul for eternity. To explore the most impressive tombs in Hue, a visit to An Bang Cemetery is highly recommended.

Located about 35 kilometers from the center of Hue, An Bang Cemetery covers approximately 40,000 square meters and stretches towards the sea. It is home to over a thousand tombs, ranging from 40 to 400 square meters in size, with majestic gates that rise 7 to 8 meters high. The cost of building these tombs ranges from several hundred million to nearly ten billion Vietnamese Dong.

An Bang Cemetery stands out not just for its size but also for its diverse architectural styles. The cemetery showcases a blend of Buddhist, Christian, and Confucian designs, according to the wishes of the tomb owners. Historically, sacred symbols like dragons, unicorns, turtles, and phoenixes were exclusive to kings, but now they can be found in many of the tombs here.
